Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

Looking forward to Conan's Central Time Zone countdown. Three years ago, it was the symbols of the Central Time Zone: a silo, corn, the Bears, the Cubs, the Arch in St. Louis, etc. Two years ago, the last 10 seconds were counted off as a Asian male prostitute was lowered onto Joel, the announcer. Last year, James Lipton helped out. It's going to be great anticipation this year.

Don't have anything philosophical, or a good random fact for the end of the year--my two talents, apparently.
Basically, it's always about small steps in improving things. And while reconnecting with people brings wonderful things, it's also good to know when to let things go.
Also, my pool game improved a lot after a horrible 2002 and mediocre 2003. So that alone makes this year a success.

That's it.
