Well, the NHL season was canceled today. The ESPN.com link is not exactly hard-hitting journalism, but is good enough. It sucks, but I don't miss it that much. I should miss it more, but I've seen a few games of the minor league hockey team back home, and I don't watch more than 5 or 6 games until the playoffs.
So that means in May and June I'll miss hockey? Maybe -- it is my favorite playoffs -- but I'll probably just kick into full baseball mode that much sooner.
Sorry, hockey fans. I haven't followed this story enough. All I know is that it is a sport that can't even see baseball or basketball in the distance, yet thinks the money (both sides are guilty) should be comparable.
