Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

TV Squad

Great analysis, especially about Michael Cera, who plays George Michael and might give the best performance of any of the actors week in and week out. I don't know if he's that good or if he just doesn't know better -- on the commentary for the first season DVD David Cross asks him how he doesn't ever break with all the ridiculous dialogue thrown at him, and Cera says, "I don't know, I just don't."

I really think this is it for the show. Even my beloved "Newsradio" had five seasons (four with Phil Hartman) -- by the way, the DVDs for that show come out in late May!!!
But to lose this show after only 40 episodes absolutely saddens me -- maybe more than it should, but damn. I hadn't been excited by a television show in a long time before this one.
