Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

Quite a roundup:
Antoine Walker suspended for Game 4 for making contact with a ref. Not surprisingly, Doc Rivers was way off in his belief that Walker wouldn't be suspended.

8 Red Sox and Devil Rays were suspended for what seems to be the 50th brawl between the two in recent years. Both managers were suspended for 3 games, and Bronson Arroyo was hit hardest with 6 games.

That's all run-of-the-mill stuff. Here's a great one: Eric Gagne suspended for heckling while on the DL. Apparently, baseball has rules against this sort of thing.

Oh, what a lovely way to start the weekend. Too bad Ron Artest isn't allowed to get into a fight...I mean, play.
