Mike's smarter comment than my post

Mike made a good point about Brown not pitching such a bad game after all the other day (7 IP, 3 ER), although I still think that repeatedly giving up the early runs makes it much more difficult on a offense.
Stanton would seem to be the expendable one; although Gordon blew the lead today, he's not going anywhere, and Stanton was clearly on the downside when the Yanks let him go three years ago. Just like reaquiring Nelson two years ago, it's a feel-good move, but does it really improve anything?
