He just got out of a jam in the 7th by getting Juan Pierre to pop out, and he is up 2-0 with 2 innings to go. With 104 pitches, I don't see him coming back out.
That's now 7 straight starts with 7 IP, and a grand total of 6 runs given up. He's also only had one start where he's given up more than five hits (7 on Apr. 29 against the Cubs). He's walked a lot of guys, but he's also striking out a guy per inning, and his career ERA (we're talking over 4500 career innings) has dropped by .02 this year.
Oh yeah, he turns 43 in August. And somehow he's only 1-1 with those numbers because he's gotten 9 runs of support in those 7 starts.
EDIT: Clemens got the win, despite the bullpen predictably giving up a run. Lidge closed it down with a nasty strikeout for the final out. Clemens is now the only pitcher alive with 330 wins (Warren Spahn having died in the last year or two).
