Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

At Villanova tonight, I jumped in the 5,000 meters, and was OK. The pace was silly fast, and I did not want to go out in 4:51. But I ended up having little choice. Unfortunately, the next two miles ended up being about 5:10-12 pace, and I only ran 15:50. But given that I still haven't gotten much training in, it's a decent step. Really, the problem is I don't have any mile speed. I've run 5 miles at 5:07 pace, so a 4:51 should not knock me out. But right now, it is. Just one more thing to work on.
