The Modern Guy: I'm Not That Guy

First item is discussing the guy you know who is the closer, the Mariano Rivera (1996-2001) of bachelors: "That guy who is a champion of "closing ass." ... He is the king of 'hit it and quit it.' "
First comes the jealousy part, then later on, this guy gets feelings, and decides: "It is that guy that gives guys a bad name in the minds of women to begin with. We should continue to be ourselves, and allow those girls with intelligence to find us."
Aww. That's cute. Of course, he's spent so much time thinking about this over the years that he's neither bagging chicks nor marrying one.

The comments are actually much more amusing. One guy strongly disagrees using witty, if grammatically incorrect, comments, such as: "I have an absurd level of confidence. If they don't want to be with me I honestly believe that it is there loss. I can't even imagine how arrogant I would be if I was like a pro athelete. TO would have nothing on me."

Of course, that same commenter's Sept. 11 post starts off thusly: "Some things are just inherently cool like smoking, heroin, pink shirts, and Steve Guttenberg. Drunk driving is also high up on that list.
