I'm not articulate enough within a blog to write much more at the moment, nor do I have the high-speed connection that makes things easier for that. So here's who to look at...well, a small sampling.
Brendan Loy -- who basically was screaming for evacuations and such well before the storm hit. Incredibly, and devastatingly, accurate in what he thought was possible.
Althouse -- She's a law professor, but has had some great insight, perspective, links, and has been provoking discussion through questions rather than just throwing out blanket statements.
Katrina overview -- More than you ever want to know (not being tongue-in-cheek, either) about the hurricane's impact in all sorts of ways. Includes the Times-Picayune's pre-hurricane series on what such a storm could do.
