Dave's got a new post up after a little break. He explains how the hurricane has distracted from the usual pursuit of sports information. He also has a great synopsis, mostly at the bottom of the (very long -- he is a rambler, after all) post, of all the efforts by the professional sports community to assist, including the pleas from Warrick Dunn and donations and thoughts ranging from the New York Yankees to NFL commissoner Paul Tagliabue.

There's also some baseball stuff in there, including a dismissal of the idea that Giambi should be considered for Comeback Player of the Year (an idea I agree with, even if I like that he's hitting game-winning HRs). I had forgotten about Griffy as a CPOY candidate, but Dave's right on the mark with that as well.
