Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

Grimace on the face after that brilliant strikeout of Marcus Giles. He never walks off the mound looking like he just got shot. And nobody who is healthy holds the dugout handrail to walk slowly down into the dugout.
But Clemens is one hell of a pitcher. Wow.

Announcers actually having good points -- Pettitte has not been seen at all. He's probably in Atlanta, unavailable. Oswalt is on about 18 hours rest, so he's not pitching. Clemens apparently told someone his hammy felt sore after Game 2. Sore for him might be "Put me on the DL" for a weaker man.
Not good for him. And the 'Stros, because he's in 'till the game ends.
