Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

I'm going to be gone the next few days. Tonight, I'm train-ing down to Philly, having dinner with my friend Sara as long as the train's not super-late, and preparing for my Wednesday morning interview. After that, I'm zipping back to CT, taking the car and driving 4-5 hours to Oneonta, New York, where I have an interview Thursday morning. Then I'm driving back home, I suppose, but going to the Bronx on Friday morning to see the XC team run their conference championships, etc. etc. At the least, I'll get some sightseeing in, right?

So as I'm probably not even going to watch much of the World Series, I surely won't be updating much here.

Here's a thing to read (in print-version so you don't have to register) on music and political leanings which gets you thinking, and with which I agree in the broader context.

Also, it's about 10 years since "Calvin and Hobbes" ended. What's the cartoonist up to? Not much.
