...Busch is getting arrested, possibly involving alcohol, while Owens never has had legal problems. Busch hit an official with a thrown water bottle once. Owens never did that.
Both men were suspended by their teams in moves that were partly discipline but mostly PR and nasty revenge, but Busch already has secured a job for next year and misses out on little of importance this year. Busch was punched in the face by another driver for trying to wreck another driver -- in essence, end his day. T.O. was once hit on the field by a Dallas Cowboy -- for celebrating a little too much for Dallas' liking. Busch has had other incidents in-competition, whereas T.O. has found troubles with his words, his only on-field trouble perhaps being too cocky.
So why is Kurt Busch's suspension not even on the front page of ESPN.com, whereas the tale of Terrell Owens was rehashed, mostly with editorializing rather than news, for days at a time?
Want the answer? There's one more difference between NASCAR's T.O. and the real T.O. -- Busch is white and Owens isn't.
