One of my favorite yearly news stories -- the media being predictable, I know -- along with the yearly media-blacklisted stories, the White House turkey, the story about the number of days people have to work on average each year to pay their taxes, celebrity deaths of the year, new words added to the dictionary, and the magical ability of reporters to forget that not everything is happening for the first time. The last is a daily occurence.
Anyways, Connecticut has been #1 several times in recent years, but had lost the title to New Jersey in 2003. Sadly, it costs so damn much to live in either place that the high wages don't give much profit.
