You have to wonder about the voters who thought that Bruce Sutter was a good pick (which, despite my hesitancy, I think is a worthy choice), but that Goose Gossage is undeserving. MSNBC wonders the same thing. It seems that voters continued their idiotic trend, at least some voters, of saying a vote for one of those guys is a vote against the other.
Poor Jim Rice. This was his best chance. The Veterans Committee is still an option, Jim. You'll just have to wait a whole bunch of years to get there.
Who the hell voted for Walt Weiss, anyhow? I don't think Tony LaRussa has a vote here.
