The Yankees' spring training is so, so boring right now, so I've looked elsewhere.
I suppose I'm rooting for UConn, although they'd better not suck like they did against Albany yesterday. Especially since Albany's only plan was to "launch a shitload of 3-pointers and hope for the best."
Syracuse lost. Wow, what a surprise. They weren't very good and only won because McNamara hit absurd shots for a week. Easiest game to call in the bracket.
Witchita State has won a couple games, and knocked off #2 Tennessee. Congrats, you've already accomplished more come tourney time than Gonzaga has this century. The MVC has already succeeded, regardless if they win any more games. The Zags -- I talked about them back in November.
Kansas lost again early. My God, it really WASN'T Roy Williams fault that they always choke. Of course, fans of teams with Paul Pierce and Raef LaFrenz on them have known this for years. Biggest question: Watching Larry Brown this year, how did Kansas win in 1988 with him coaching and Danny Manning as the only NBA-caliber player?
I hate Larry Brown, by the way, but kudos to him for basically calling Marbury a loser who will always be a loser. Granted, there's about 250 of those guys in the NBA, but few bigger than Marbury. And no, Allen Iverson is not one of those guys. But Chris Webber is. And Peja. And everyone on the Lakers save Kobe, because he beat the legal system, which is greatest victory of all for a black man in America. No joke. Especially since he was at least guilty of being an idiot.
