It raises the question that Colts, A's and Mavericks fans must be asking themselves: Is it better to be good but continually choke, or never have your heart ripped out in the first place because your team sucks? Most would take the first, but how many chokes does it take to change some minds? Open question -- I don't know.
Gonzaga is lucky they aren't a pro team -- the coach would be gone and a profits-minded owner might dismantle the team. Reddick -- well, I've said, in essence, that he wasn't overrated, Duke was.
But tonight, Shelden Williams was solid, though (23 and 11, eight offensive boards), which usually spells Duke win. Reddick was an embarrassment, as he usually is in a Duke tourney loss. Sorry, it's true. 3-18, 0-9 from 2-point land, and 4 turnovers. It brings back memories of John Starks in Game 7 of the 1994 Finals. Coach K better stop spending so much time arming kids for life, cause Reddick played like he's actually going to use his degree.
All in all, with Pittsnogle's WVA losing on a last-second 3 as well, I guess the "white man taking over the game" phase is dead, right? Or never existed, more like.
