The Yankees routinely rank among the worst teams in the spring -- they play lots of split-squad games, which dilutes your talent, and they play more terrible, no-chance players than most. All in all, when they are horrible in the spring, it's a sign that they'll be winning come April.
Of course, the Mets won today. Take from that what you will.
