Four pitchers suspended 50 games. None have appeared in the bigs, and missing 50 minor league games is not likely to help them make it.
To be fair, only three were for performance-enhancing illegals. The other guy just has a drug problem. A sincere hope he takes these 50 games to work on that problem.
The increased penalties are only going to really jar the public if and when a bonafide MLBer gets nailed. Picking that player would make a fascinating office pool.
