Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

The "real" opening day for most teams. Last night saw Chicago outwitting (and outslugging) Cleveland again. I told my friend Foysauce that I think this is a great year to be an Indians fan, but they sure as hell can't let the Sox run away early again.

Johnson-Zito for the Yankees fans. Zito will never be a 24-game winner again, but he's recovered from his so-called crisis of a couple years ago. RJ actually looked good this spring, and he needs to be a real SOB out there. Even if it trickles into his personal life.
