Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

I mentioned last week that this was very likely. I traveled all weekend, so I've been neglectful here again.
Anyways, the upside: Posada looks OK so far, Mussina and Johnson have been sharp, nobody else has really gotten hurt, and the WBC guys don't look worse for the wear.

They'll be fine.

Who won't be fine: Jason Isringhausen. Holy hell. Everyone in the world knows he's not a two-inning closer any time, much less in April. Except for Tony LaRussa. On the other hand, Michael Barrett is on pace for 64 home runs and 288 RBI.
