Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

Apparently, his pitching form was atrocious tonight, which may have contributed to his 5 walks, 3 1/3 innings and overall terrible effort.

Too early to tell, but he's been more bad than good this year, which is either injury or decline. His nerves against the Red Sox are actually not in question, considering he dominated them last year.

If he keeps pitching like tonight, though, he'll lose his right to a personal catcher, which should be all the incentive he needs.
