Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

When you basically live out of a suitcase for months, then move hundreds of miles from everyone you know, there can be a sense of isolation. That you're going to lose people -- not literally, but from your life -- is in the back of your mind.

"hey! where've you been all week?"

Ralph Waldo Emerson probably wrote somewhere, eloquently and at length, about the small joys of life, but that right there was the personification.
