Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

"Scrubs" is coming back, albeit midseason. It's a quirky show that will never get its deserved audience out of necessity, almost, but it's worthy of a spot on NBC's lineup, for sure.

While "Arrested Development," perhaps my favorite show of all-time (saying something since I've seen, in reruns at least, every great show dating back to "I Love Lucy"), may not be coming back, Jeffrey Tambor and Tony Hale have found work, as well as they should. Hale is in Andy Richter's new comedy, which is being supported and contributed to by Conan O'Brien.

"The Office" is back, although an hour earlier, which shouldn't be a bad thing since it's still paired with perfect twin "My Name Is Earl."

Finally, as I've mentioned before, Alexis Bledel has really, really cool eyes, even if otherwise, she's not nearly as hot as the actress who plays her mom</span>. That's right. Not cool.
