Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

Yeah, yesterday's 19-6 loss was horrible. I can't remember a worse game, outside, perhaps, of the 12-1 (11-1, maybe?) loss in Game 4 of the 2000 ALDS to Oakland. That game, Clemens gave up a 3-run homer on the third batter of the game, which ended all hope.

But today, it looks as if Bobby Abreu and Corey Lidle may be Yankees. A good move, a necessary move, and a risk worth taking. That's no guarantee that it will work out, unfortunately.
