And the Yankees, thankfully, have positioned themselves to win at least the opener, with their best pitcher, Chien-Ming Wang, going up against Boston's worst, Jason Johnson. Of course, they get blown out, and things aren't over, but certainly are more dire.
Let's hope there's no incidents a la the fan accosting Gary Sheffield, and hope the series is much more like the one game I saw in Fenway a few years back: Pedro-Wells, pitcher's duel, late-inning excitement, 4-3 win from the Yanks.
