Because I didn't get a chance to watch it or tape it. I have to wait for the re-showing this weekend or download it online. Either way, don't spoil the intense drama that awaits me.
Also...
"The Dead Zone" is not bad, especially since I'm too young to remember Anthony Michael Hall as a Brat Pack member. I catch some of the episodes at odd hours, and it's a lot of the same stuff every week, but he's quite good.
Finally saw "The Constant Gardener," and it was excellent. I tend to enjoy smart "dumb" comedies (Will Ferrell vehicles of the past several years, even things going back as far as the better Martin-Lewis vehicles) or dramas that demand a lot of the characters (and actors) without descending into maudlin romance (of late, the "Bourne" movies have done this tremendously; obviously, Hitchcock and a lot of others fill this bill). "The Constant Gardener" feels like a John Le Carre creation, which is not easy to bring to film.
Of course, Rachel Weisz is not only in my short list of actresses I love to fawn over, but she's also in my short list of actresses whose acting I thoroughly enjoy. She was great in the excellent "Confidence" and "Enemy At The Gates," and she lifts "The Constant Gardener" to very high levels. Ralph Fiennes, of course, is very talented, but you do notice the difference between what is essentially her part of the movie (the first 45 minutes) and his part (the last 1:20). Both good, but one jumps off the screen a bit more.
