Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

That's the Yankees and myself. It's officially time to hit the panic button. What that means in reality for New York, I don't know, though I have a thought or two.

Why the mythical panic button? Andy Pettitte got shelled tonight, although maybe pitching him in relief twice in this month didn't help. If Pettitte, the ace and go-to guy against the Sox for years, can't handle them, it's a huge problem.
At least the Yanks scored some runs off of Dice-K. But with their terrible Japanese signing, it's small consolation.

The second bit of lagging behind is that I'm still on vacation and traveling all of tomorrow. I haven't even seen this week's "Office" yet. So bear with me. Thanks.
