Afternoon Baseball

Common-sense ruminations on baseball and culture.

I'm still up, the benefit of working later hours and not sleeping well. The Yankees and Tigers are tied, 6-6, Roger Clemens giving up all six. You just know the dam's going to break though, especially with Rivera out, Sean Henn in and Brian Bruney being about all that's left.

This is a time where Scott Proctor and his rubber arm would be great. Oh well. The Yanks need wins, let's not kid around. The Mariners and Red Sox don't seem as if they're going to give their positions away. It's a tall order, but this team was built and expected to stand up to that. We'll see, once again, if delivery matches expectations.
